Want to see a sport not known in Europe, it is possible to discover the most popular sport in Nepal. Every year a tournament is held in the Airfield Meghauli Chitwan, south-west of Kathmandu.
An association, the World Elephant Polo Association was created in 1982, its headquarters is located at Jungle Lodge Tiger Tops in Chitwan, Nepal.
Elephant polo is similar to horse polo. The game is played on a field of 140×70 meters, four players per team.
