Nepal is well known for its tourism. It offers a multitude of places to visit and watch as many temples and places of worship.
- Kathmandu (capital of Nepal)
Political and religious capital of Nepal, it is also the largest city in the country. The town is at 1350m and is surrounded by mountains of average sizes in the foothills of the Himalaya.
- Patan, Lalitpur (Cities of Artisans)
South-west of the Kathmandu Valley, this town is best known for its rich cultural heritage and particularly for its tradition of arts and crafts.
- Bhaktapur (city enthusiasts)
In the corner of the Kathmandu Valley is the third largest city of Valley City. Bhaktapur is a UNESCO World Heritage by UNESCO for its cultural wealth, temples, wood, metal and stone. It is the town of traditional art and architecture, historic monuments and works of crafts, stained glass, pottery.
- Pokhara
Located in central Nepal, west of Katmandu. Pokhara is the third largest city after Kathmandu and Biratnagar. This is one of the most popular destinations in the country.
- Lumbini (birthplace of Buddha)
Lumbini is a place of pilgrimage for Buddhists because it is the place where Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha). This city is located in the foothills of the Himalaya.
Lumbini has a number of temples including the temple Mayadevi.
- Chitwan (park)
Chitwan is the first national park of Nepal. It is especially rich in flora and fauna. The park lies a large diversity of species, including rare species like the Bengal Tiger, Gharial, the Asian rhino, but also leopards, pythons, crocodiles and several species of deer. These protected areas are guarded by the Nepal Army.
